This weekend was the first time I tried running twice in the same day. I wanted to see how it was going to affect me since I've never done it before.
I decided to take it easy and just run three miles each time. I ran the first time at about 10:30 a.m. and then again at 3:00. I figure that's closer than most of my legs will be. Anyway, it went well. I decided that for cardio, it was like running for the first time the second time around. However, my muscles knew it was the second time although it wasn't bad but that's where I did slightly notice.
If you haven't done it yet, I encourage you to. I'm issuing the challenge to try it out sometime this next week and run at least twice within a 4-6 hours of each other. Also, I made up a training schedule that I'm trying to follow so I'll have to figure out how to get that posted in the next couple of days in case any of you are interested. I decided that the two training schedules on the ragnar site are extremes.
The other thing is we have to have a substitution for Jana by April 30 or we have to pay a fee for a substitution. It sounds like Shari might be doing it though.

Hey everyone! Yes, I know that you are all shocked that I finally logged on. So in the last few weeks, Mariah and I have been running outside together. It's nice to run with someone else because then you can't just quit whenever you want to. We have been running a 3.5 mile run and have been doing well. My goal is to start increasing my speed. I have been sick this last week and even ended up with an ear infection (painful). I still ran though last Saturday with Cindy, it's difficult when you're not feeling 100%. Now that I'm starting to feel better, Cindy and I are planning on running 4.0 miles on Friday. I need to work on increasing my speed and since Cindy runs faster than me I'm hoping running with her helps motivate and push me to go faster.
I've thought about trying two runs in a day, but it won't happen this week. We are leaving for Disneyland this weekend. I'm hoping to just find time to run at the hotel during the week.

hey there! i am glad you posted. I should have asked you when I saw you for your phone number. I didn't know that you liked to run. What marathons have you done? What were your times? your an animal doing three last year. Unfortunalty for me I have been plagued with health problems so I haven't been able to do as many as I want. we should talk maybe we could do a long run or something together.
Are you still running a lot? Is it starting to get cool in Denver? It is fun to have a way to keep in touch with you. Things are going well in Aberdeen. Our house is supposed to be done in January. So far, so good. It is a good time to build because it is so slow. Boise was fun. It is fun to visit the "big" city. :) I hope everything is going well with your cute family.

We don't see you guys anymore. Should totally get together when the weather gets warmer and have a picnic in the park so the kiddos can run around and play together.
