How's the training coming?

How's it going? I added a couple of links to the side for the different training schedules. I'm also experimenting with a spreadsheet (the spreadsheet is just for Jordan) where we could enter how much we are running - or we could just write that in our comments. Let me know your thoughts.

Ryan officially started training today and went 2.6 miles. Not a bad start. :) I went another 3 last Saturday (not the fastest 3 miles I have ever run) and I still need to go this evening.

If you have updates for the day's training or have any other words of wisdom, leave a message!

I just went running and I'm happy to say I redeemed myself some from my long 3 mile run the other day. I was at 29 minutes and 15 seconds (it's precise because every second counts at this point!).

Adios!

Good job on your run...every second really does count right now. I hope that people really get onto the blog and tell us how their training is going. I'm supposed to go 5.5 miles today (instructions from trainer).

I have been running M, T, W for 30 to 35 minutes. I feel good about it for now. My three mile time was approximately 31 minutes...not down to the second, what can I say?I am going to start running Th now as well, but from there I might just have to run multiple times a day rather than picking up a fifth day etc. A 12+ hour shift makes it really hard to get out those days. You think it will be okay to just run four days a week? Tomorrow I am going to go run outside. I think I am going to try to run for closer to an hour. I will post and let everyone know how it goes. Bye!

I will title this journal entry CONFESSIONS. I say journal becuase it seems I am the only one posting anything on here. So...an hour--not so much. I actually only ran for 20 minutes. But, I think this blog is a good thing for me because I almost didn't go out at all (I WAS JUST SO TIRED!) and then I remembered I had told you all I was going, so I went. It was only 20 minutes because I had to be back before Jordan left for class. I figure some is better than none. I am finding the running experience slightly more enjoyable these days than it was originally which gives me hope. By June I should be loving life. I can't wait to here from everyone else! Have a good day! :)

Sorry, one more comment. AK, google says lhillpuppy@gmail.com does not have permission to access the running spread sheet. I am not going to lie, that makes me feel a little bit to medium sad. :(

Yesterday when I got to the gym there wasn't a treadmill available so I started on the eliptical. I ended up going 3.25 miles on the eliptical machine and I saw someone get off a treadmill. I quickly got off of my machine and cleaned it with the spray stuff and by the time I got to the treadmill some other lady had beat me to it. Unbelievable! I finished by going 2.75 on the bike. So 6 miles total yesterday and not even one mile actually running. It will be nice when the weather gets a little better so I can try running outside. I think the hard thing with that will be trying to figure out where to run. I don't know where I'm safe around here.

Lisa, none of us have access to the spreadsheet yet so don't feel bad. She's still working on getting all of that figured out.

I just looked up teams on the Ragnar website. We are team number 301. Baker's Dozen. There are some other funny team names as well. If you're bored you should check it out.

Okay, I posted a comment earlier, but Lisa said it didn't work. So here goes another try. Running is good. I'm trying to run three to four times a week. It's usually T TH F Sat, but I think I might try and go tonight. :D So far it's around 25-30 minutes each time give or take a few minutes. So that's where I'm at. It's fun to hear what everyone else is doing. Keep up the good work! :D Jana
