This weekend was the first time I tried running twice in the same day. I wanted to see how it was going to affect me since I've never done it before.
I decided to take it easy and just run three miles each time. I ran the first time at about 10:30 a.m. and then again at 3:00. I figure that's closer than most of my legs will be. Anyway, it went well. I decided that for cardio, it was like running for the first time the second time around. However, my muscles knew it was the second time although it wasn't bad but that's where I did slightly notice.
If you haven't done it yet, I encourage you to. I'm issuing the challenge to try it out sometime this next week and run at least twice within a 4-6 hours of each other. Also, I made up a training schedule that I'm trying to follow so I'll have to figure out how to get that posted in the next couple of days in case any of you are interested. I decided that the two training schedules on the ragnar site are extremes.
The other thing is we have to have a substitution for Jana by April 30 or we have to pay a fee for a substitution. It sounds like Shari might be doing it though.

I should train more often...
I just went running. I feel so much better when I exercise, I should do it more often! I didn't run yesterday but am going to try to get in at least four days of running (jogging) per week. I only went 2.5 miles today but it went well.
I hope it's going great for everybody else. How many days per week is everybody running?

How's it coming?
I hope training is going well for everybody. I went this morning. I like to run outside on Saturdays (because it's light by the time I run) but it was only 28 degrees so I headed to the gym. I went another 3 miles and for some random reason had a side ache for a lot of it. Sometimes I get them if I eat too close to when I run but that wasn't the case so I don't know what my problem was. Side aches are a mystery sometimes.
I hope it's going well for everybody else. Jana is officially going to miss out on the relay since she will be on her mission for over three weeks by then. We're so excited for her though! Shari is thinking about running for her so we'll keep everybody updated on that. We have plenty of notice though so we'll be good to go.

Schedule
I was talking to Anna Karina the other day, and I'm thinking that I am going to try to put a schedule together. I would like to do one that is somewhere between the two schedules that the website offers. Right now I'm not following a schedule of any kind, and I'm not sure that's the best approach. :D So if you guys have any thoughts, suggestions... let me know. Thank you!

Fun!
Well hello everyone! This is very fun. I went running last night - about 52 minutes! That's the farthest I have gone in a while so I was happy about that. I was going to go running this morning as well. I got up on campus and realized I forgot my student ID card, so I just went back to my apartment and did a little pilates instead. That's all I have!

Another day and a reminder from Aaron
I don't know that it will happen tonight but I'm going to make everybody an author so whoever is the first person to post for the day can make an entry on the main page and then people can comment on that day rather than me being the slacker that didn't get anything posted yesterday and not until 9:40 pm today.
I'm just headed out to run at the gym. At least there is a track since treadmills drive me crazy (although I have to go ten laps for a mile). My goal is to go at least a little over 3 miles.

How's the training coming?
How's it going? I added a couple of links to the side for the different training schedules. I'm also experimenting with a spreadsheet (the spreadsheet is just for Jordan) where we could enter how much we are running - or we could just write that in our comments. Let me know your thoughts.
Ryan officially started training today and went 2.6 miles. Not a bad start. :) I went another 3 last Saturday (not the fastest 3 miles I have ever run) and I still need to go this evening.

I just went running and I'm happy to say I redeemed myself some from my long 3 mile run the other day. I was at 29 minutes and 15 seconds (it's precise because every second counts at this point!).
